The people from "The Kingdom" will make their presence felt in the capital as we host a special concert featuring the music and songs of County Kerry in a fantastic concert called "River to Sea". The Dublin Gaelic Football team win the All-Ireand Championship for the first time in sixteen years. The official name of the trophy is the "Sam Maguire Cup" but it is affectionately referred to as "Sam".
The Merry Ploughboy's song "Sam is coming home" hits number one in the world music charts on iTunes. The song was viewed over fifty thousand times in one week on YouTube. The song also received great air play on national radio and TV as a fantastically exciting build up to the All-Ireland final takes place in Dublin.
